This is the second MV released by members of the group. Jackson’s was dropped yesterday, having fans wondering if there would be more singles from other members and their solos. It looks as though there will be!

Jackson Wang “Made It” MV

Got7’s Jackson Wang semi-shirtless for a whole minute and a half? Yes, please! Since Jackson is my bias, I was more than a bit excited to get a notification on VLive (an app that lets K pop idols broadcast live videos where fans can join and comment in real time) that the singer/songwriter/rapper/dancer’s MV is out!

Jackson also posted part of the MV on his instagram. The song is titled “Made It” and is Jackson’s solo on Got7’s “Present:YOU” album.

G-Dragon’s official documentary is on Youtube

I get so excited when I see K Pop being featured anywhere mainstream, especially when it’s trending on YouTube.

This time, seeing G-Dragon with a documentary, makes me hopeful that there’ll be more like this coming from other groups!

Demi Lovato’s documentary “Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated” successfully racked in viewers, currently reaching over 22 million views on YouTube, and of course I am one of those viewers. The sequel to it was in progress until her recent health concerns (let’s try to respect her privacy) halted plans.

Hopefully we’ll see more documentaries like these coming from our favorite K Pop groups in the future! In the meantime, enjoy G-Dragon’s preview (the whole film can be viewed on YouTube Premium):

Where to shop for K Pop merch in Atlanta

Artist merch is one of the biggest parts of being a fangirl, or fanboy. It’s easy to come across well known band merch in stores in the States but since K-pop is still considered an international based genre here, although it’s American fan base is increasingly growing each day, it’s difficult to find K-pop merch outside of an online resource.

The whole K-pop experience just isn’t quite the same until you’ve experienced a store dedicated to solely K-pop.

I was at the mall recently when a woman noticed my kids and their BTS and Blackpink T-shirts. She asked where we got the shirts and admitted that her daughter is a Blink (Blackpink fan) and how she, herself, is an Exo-L (Exo fan).

Our masks from K Pop Store in the USA

We explained how the Blackpink tee was found at Hot Topic and that the BTS tee came from a local K pop store called K Pop store in the USA.

Like most US fans, she usually gets her merch from online sources and was so excited to hear about a store where she could go in and see everything in person.

There are only two K pop stores in the Atlanta metro area that focus solely on K pop and K Pop Store in the USA, located on Buford Hwy, is one of the two.

It is the biggest that I’ve seen here, offering everything such as albums, posters, calendars, backpacks, wallets, pillows, blankets, hats, among others. There are multiple TV screens in store with videos of K Pop groups playing at all times, one of which is a big screen with a large sofa where you can enjoy watching randomly selected K pop MVs. Magazines are available to enjoy as well for those who enjoy flipping through pictures of their favorite Idols.

On top of offering merch and entertainment, every purchase comes with something free. What you get depends on how much you spend and after spending a certain amount, you get a free poster of your choice on top of the other freebies! But they do have postcards, pictures, MNet DVDs and they also ask who your favorite group and members are before handing you your free goodies of your favorite idols.

If you’re in the Atlanta area and are looking for a place to shop for merch, check out K Pop Store in the USA! I’ve been to the other store, as well as other stores that aren’t solely kpop but I will provide reviews for them in another post.

Check out their website or follow them on instagram!

A dose of Korean BBQ in Atlanta, GA

So a few weeks ago, my kids tried eating meats other than chicken for the first time since they were babies! For some strange reason they stopped eating meats other than chicken, pepperoni, and bacon at a very young age. Which is why this moment was a huge milestone in our lives!

What got them out of the house and willing to give it a try? Well, if you must ask, it was because I told them that K-Pop is played non-stop while you’re eating!

So we stumbled into a local Korean BBQ joint called K BBQ Factory, where beef brisket and pork belly is served on their all you can eat menu. Many of our favorite Korean BBQ restaurants no longer serve plain, thinly sliced beef brisket or pork belly on their all you can eat menus, which is a huge blow for me because those are my favorite meats to get when I go for Korean BBQ.

If you haven’t tried Korean BBQ or even heard of it, you really are missing out. It’s incredibly delicious, cooked right in front of you at the table and on the grill. Most places provide side dishes such as kimchi, but K BBQ Factory also provides tofu soup and my favorite steamed egg dish. Everything they have to offer is cooked perfectly and the staff is incredibly attentive, not wanting you to lift a finger the entire time.

My picky eaters couldn’t get enough of the beef! And I was so proud that they finally tried and enjoyed something that I love so dearly and crave so often.

Red Velvet’s Power Up

My ten year old daughter loves Red Velvet and of course had to learn the choreography to their new catchy song “Power Up”! Their MV dropped on August 6, 2018 and you can watch it on their official youtube channel. Don’t forget to check out their new mini album “Summer Magic” too!

So here’s my daughter dancing to their MV:

BTS Idol Dance Challenge

So there’s been this dance challenge that started from BTS’s new song “Idol” and of course my Army daughter couldn’t resist trying it out herself.

Here’s the video of her doing the #IdolChallenge:

And if you haven’t already seen them, here’s J-Hope’s, Jimin’s, and Jungkook’s videos:
